the baker upstairs
Cheesy, buttery, garlic bread is an ideal side for any Holiday. It goes along side almost any meal from turkey and chicken to pasta.

You may want to double this recipe to allow for more than one slice per person.
Warning: it disappears quickly!

Cheesy garlic bread recipe
  • 1 loaf of soft french bread (like in the above photo)
  • 1, 16 ounce package shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic, heaping
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Preheat oven to 350*.
Slice bread in half, lengthwise and place on a piece of foil. Remove a well of bread from the center of each half (to make room for cheesy goodness).
Melt butter, garlic and Italian seasoning together in a sauce pan (or in microwave).
Pour butter mixture evenly onto top and bottom of bread.
Spread cheese evenly over the buttered side of 1/2 of the bread.
Place other side of bread over the top of the cheese…to form a sandwich.
Wrap in foil and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until cheese is melted.
Slice and serve.
