The perfect fall or holiday treat!
You can make this recipe regular or gluten free.
Bars:
1/4 cup butter, salted and softened
1 cup peanut butter, creamy
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup graham cracker crumbs Or gluten-free graham crust
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Top Layer:
1/4 cup peanut butter, creamy
1 1/2 cup milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate chips, combined
Line a 8x8 pan with parchment paper and then set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix the butter and peanut butter until smooth.
Add the powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, vanilla and salt. Mix until a crumbly dough forms.
Press the mixture into the bottom of your prepared pan. Set aside.
In a microwave safe bowl, add peanut butter and chocolate chips.
Microwave for 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds.
Pour on top of peanut butter mixture and spread evenly.
Freeze for an hour or until the chocolate layer is set before cutting and serving.
You may have to press the peanut butter mixture together after slicing.
