This cherry crumb pie is a perfect dessert to make with up and coming
"little" chefs!
Kids love getting their hand dirty when baking! This cherry pie is perfect for
parties, events, gatherings, or a weekend treat.
It is also perfect topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
I consider this cherry crumb pie recipe a semi-homemade recipe since it calls
for a pre-made graham pie crust and canned pie filling. None-the-less, it is
sweet, tart, and delicious!
Cherry Crumb Pie
1 can cherry pie filling (21 ounces)
1 graham crust, prepared
1 tbsp cold water
1 tbsp cornstarch
Mix together cornstarch and water in a bowl until smooth.
Stir in pie filling and pour mixture into crust.
Prepare topping:
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup quick oats
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp margarine, cold
Add flour, oats, and sugars into a bowl and cut in margarine.
Squeeze together with your hands until crumbly.
Sprinkle over filling.
Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly.
Allow to sit for 25 minutes before serving or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Tip: If you serve it warm, it may not be fully set and may be hard to serve.
