Here is a recipe from my book:
5 Layer Dump Cake
½ Can cherry pie filling
½ Can blueberry pie filling
1 Can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple in juice
1 Box, yellow cake mix
1 Cup butter or margarine, melted
1 Cup copped nuts
Preheat oven to 350*.
Spray 9x13-baking dish with cooking spray then layer ingredients. On one side of the dish, place cherry filling, on the other half, place blueberry filling.
Then, layer all other ingredients in the order listed above.
DO NOT MIX!
Bake for 50-55 minutes.
I like to do half with cherry and half with blueberry to give my guests a choice of what fruit they like. I also like to put the nuts in the middle of the cake. This way, if someone prefers to go “nutless”, they can have cake from the outside of the dish and still have the choice of cherry or blueberry.
