Fall recipes: Apple pie fritter bread

Welcome fall! Here is a sweet bread recipe that you and your family and friends can enjoy with a hot cup of coffee, cocoa, or tea. Perfect for breakfast or a snack, everyone will love this sweet treat!
My family ate the entire loaf in two days...and I'm surprised it lasted that long because I enjoyed it myself.

Apple Pie Fritter Bread

For bread:
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup), softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup milk
For filling:
  • 1 apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
For filling:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Prepared cinnamon sugar (to coat pan)
Drizzle:
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 shakes of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp water

Preheat oven to 350*.
Spray loaf pan with cooking spray and then coat it with cinnamon sugar.
Mix brown sugar with cinnamon and set aside.
In a large bowl, with a fork, cream together sugar and butter.
Mix in vanilla.
Add and mix in eggs.
Add flour and baking powder and cinnamon while mixing.
Pour in milk and combine well.
In a separate bowl, mix prepared apple and cinnamon sugar.
Pour half of the bread mixture into the prepared loaf pan.
Add half of the apples and half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Add remaining bread mixture.
Top with remaining apples and brown sugar mixture.
Swirl together with a fork or knife.
Bake for 50 minutes…until center of loaf in fully baked.
After bread cools, prepare drizzle:
Mix all 3 ingredients together and drizzle over the top of the bread.
