Homemade granola makes a healthy snack!
You can save money by making your own and save on chemicals and preservatives too!
Granola makes a great cereal, ice cream topping, and additive to yogurt for breakfast! It is also tasty by the handfuls as a snack.
12 cups quick oats (not instant)
1 1/2 cups sweetened coconut flakes
1 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
2 cups honey
2/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups raisins
*Choose your favorite variety of nut for this recipe.
*Use vegetable oil, olive oil, or avocado oil.
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl combine, oats, coconut, raisins and nuts. Mix well.
In another bowl combine, honey, oil & vanilla. Pour over oat mixture. Stir to coat.
Place on 2 non-stick foil lined cookie sheets and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Let cool and place in an air-tight container to store.
