A simple recipe for each meal of the day!

Check out some really easy recipes!
Let’s start with breakfast: (This recipe serves 4 people)

Breakfast Banana Split

  • 2 Bananas, sliced in half length wise, then each half cut in half (8 pieces total)
  • 1 8oz. container of yogurt, any flavor
  • 8 Tablespoons of strawberry or blueberry pie filling (or both)
  • 8 Tablespoons of crushed pineapple
  • 8 Tablespoons of granola (recipe follows) (or use nature valley granola bars)

In a small bowl, add 2 pieces of banana.
Place a dollop of yogurt over the bananas.
Put 2 tablespoons of pie filling over yogurt in each bowl.
Then add 2 tablespoons of pineapple over the pie filling.
Finish each bowl with 2 tablespoons of granola.

I have made these before for brunch and everyone enjoyed them.

Granola

  • 12 Cups quick oats (not instant)
  • 1 1/2 Cups flakes, sweet coconut
  • 1 1/2 Cup nuts
  • 2 Cups honey
  • 2/3 Cup oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 Cups raisins

Heat oven to 350*
In a large bowl combine, oats, coconut and nuts. Mix well.
In another bowl combine, honey, oil & vanilla. Pour over oat mixture. Stir to coat.
Place on 2 foil lined cookie sheets and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Let cool and place in an air-tight container to store.

This is great for a snack or to eat as cereal with milk!
There is way more than what the banana split recipe calls for. Get creative!
I stored mine in a zip top plastic bag for a couple of weeks.

Turkey & Cheese Bread

  • 1 Tube of refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4-8 Slices of deli turkey (sliced thin)
  • 1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 Cup mayo
  • milk

Preheat oven to 350*.
Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface in to a rectangle, about 12 x 8 in size.
Place turkey slices over the dough, leaving about a 1 inch border around the sides.
Mix cheese with mayo in a bowl. Then, spread it over the turkey.
Roll up the stuffed dough.
Place on baking sheet seam side down.
Cut slits on top layer of dough.
Brush with milk and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 35-40 minutes.

When I made this I accidentally left out the mayo and it still came out very tasty!
