Easy peasy molasses cookies

Cookies are fun to make and tasty to eat. Cookies should be rich and filling! They should also be simple to put together and make. Following, you will find easy molasses cookies. These are perfect to make with children and make wonderful additions to any Holiday or party tray.

Molasses makes the texture of these cookies rich and chewy.

Easy molasses cookie recipe
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar (plus extra for rolling)
  • 2 tbsp. molasses
  • 1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp. cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 ½ cups flour
Pre-heat oven to 350*.
Cream butter, sugars, molasses, egg mixture and cinnamon.
Add flour. Mix well.
Roll dough into small balls. Dip in sugar and flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass.
Bake for 8 minutes.

If you are baking with the kids, give them the glass (although you may want to choose a plastic variety) and let them flatten away!
